Recently had room in roof insulation from GZ Energy.

3 weeks ago I received a knock on my door from a young gentlemen telling me he was from a company called GZ Energy Solutions, claiming he was acting on behalf of a funded scheme that the government and energy companies have introduced for Room in Roof Insulation. The energy companies pay them to carry out the work which costs me absolutely nothing. Now I am very sceptical about someone telling me I can have work done to my property for free. So I did a bit of digging on the Internet myself before doing anything only to find that this bloke was being really honest and there was people all over getting this work done.

The energy savings trust are right behind this scheme. You can find info from them here:

So the gent that came to my door was still on my street and I gave him a shout over for him to arrange his surveyor to assess my property for the room in roof insulation.

I can honestly say from start to finish, it was all very professional. The guy at my door held himself in a professional manner and so was everyone that entered my home. Which I expected of course. There was even parts of my room in roof inaccessible and they had joiners out to make little hatches so that they could reach these parts. GZ really went the extra mile to make sure I was completely insulated.

I now have a home that has adequate amounts of insulation and the difference it has made is unbelievable. Not only will it help in the winter but it acts as a reflector for the sun "when we get it" in the summer months also. It stops my conversion feeling like a sauna.

So to conclude if anyone is thinking about insulating your room in roof with GZ Energy Solutions I would highly recommend them and I am sure there are other people out there as well.
